The superior general has appointed to the International Formation Committee the following confreres, two major superiors and one formator: Frs Damien Diouf (Africa), Ted Keating (USA) and Milikiade Raiyalu (Oceania). They join the continuing members: major superiors, Frs Paul Donoghue (Oceania) and Larry Sabud (Philippines); and, formator, Fr Roberto Furtuoso (Brazil). The task of the committee is to assist the superior general in matters of formation.

School finished at Marist College, Atlanta yesterday with a Christmas Assembly.
Along with the usual formalities of an end of year assembly, the chance for the 50-voice chorale to sing and students dressing in red and green, it was also the opportunity for the school to farewell the Principal, Fr Joel Konzen SM, prior to his departure on sabbatical leave. Sipiliano Faka’osi, a graduate of Good Shepherd College, Auckland, and a member of the Marist Oceania province was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Soane Batita Paini Mafi of Tonga. Over the last four months the dispersal of the Australian Province’s, Colin Library collection has been going according to the arrangements proposed by the Colin Library Comittee early in 2009, where a ranked order of libraries and individuals could rquest and receive books from the old Marist Seminaary, Catholic Theological College collection.
