General Chapter: Day Three

Following on from yesterday, the program for Day 3 consisted mainly of reports from the Major Superiors. Each was given an opportunity to draw attention to the significant issues facing each of the provinces and districts. The presentations were well received and provided the capitulants with an accurate, informative and helpful understanding of the challenges, difficulties and hopes that call for a renewal in the Society’s effort to continue “building a new Church” in the spirit of Mary. The capitulants have been fully engaged with the primary task of the Chapter. However, they do find time to relax and to enjoy each others’ company. Each evening, for half an hour prior to dinner, there is an opportunity to engage in some social activity. Most capitulants avail themselves of this welcome change in routine!

The Chapter will have a “rest day” on Saturday, 5th September.
