General Chapter: Electing a new Superior General

The Chapter has decided that the election of the Superior General will take place this week. The voting will follow on from a well focused program of discernment and discussion. On Wednesday, the capitulants will spend time describing the qualities needed for the person who is to fill the role, they will engage in “structured conversations”, cast two straw votes, and spend some hours in prayer, reflection and conversation. The ballot or ballots will take place on Thursday, 10th September. Please continue to pray for our capitulants as they prepare to make this very significant and important decision.
