Lyndall Brown farewelled from Emmaus Spirituality ministry

Sr Lyndall Brown RSJ was farewelled at function at Pa Maria, on Friday.

Since 1997, Lyndall has worked as a spiritual director at Futuna and Emmaus and now moves to Auckland to be part of the combined Josephite leadership team.

Speaking at the farewell, Lyndall said she was appreciative of the team approach taken with this ministry. She also acknowledged the inclusiveness that both she and former team member, Sr Anne Maree Thompson, experienced by being part of the Wells of Living Water team.

Director of the Emmaus spirituality ministry, Fr Jim Dooley spoke with deep appreciation of the contribution of Lyndall, highlighting the patience and wisdom in discernment that she brought to the ministry.

Also present at the farewell were the Archbishop of Wellington, John Dew and Fr Patrick Bridgeman. Their presence was an acknowledgement of the valuable part the Emmaus ministry of spiritual direction and supervision has provided to a number of priests and lay people throughout the archdiocese.
