Newsletter Centrefold recommended as prayerful focal point

The Acting Provincial, Fr Phil Cody has written to the New Zealand Province reminding New Zealand Marists to keep to keep the General Chapter at the forefront of their prayers. The General Chapter is the key event in the Society’s life and sets out the Society’s pattern for mission,, leadership and legislation for the next eight year and therefore, “we should sharpen our prayer for the members and process of the Chapter”, Fr Cody said.

Fr Cody urged Marists to integrate this prayer into both their personal and community prayer. As part of this process he reminded us of the centrefold in the Provincial Newsletter and suggested that we place it as a prayerful focal point within our communities.

He concluded by wishing our members at the Chapter well, and asked that Mary and the Holy Spirit be with them and all the Chapter delegates.

Ko taku rourou; ko tau rourou, ka mākona e tw iwi. (If we combine what we each bring in our food basket, all will be well nourished.)
