New Zealand’s premier food magazine, Cuisine, has awarded “five-stars” to 2008 Mission Jewelstone Cabernet Sauvignon. Mission received Cuisine’s 2010 rating along with only two other Cabernet dominant wines.
In making the award, Cuisine said. “Rather like a modern Bordeaux in style, this high-class Cabernet deserves a grand-occasion lamb dish. From Hawke’s Bay’s pioneering winery, it has the makings of a New Zealand classic and is rich, concentrated and expressive. Cassis, violet, cedar and tobacco meet on the nose and the layered, intense palate is long and ultra-elegant.”
