General Finance Committee elections

At the meeting of the Council of the Society on 24 September Frs Paul Cooney, Ted Keating and John Murphy were elected as members of the General Finance Committee.

The task of the General Finance Committee is to assist the superior general and his council in the administration of the finances of the Society at a general level.

The committee normally meets annually to make recommendations to the superior general and his council. As part of its recommendations, the committee advises on current financial matters and the possible financial impact of any new initiatives. The committee is also tasked to report on the practice of solidarity within the Society and to ensure that it is maintained.

Paul Cooney is the provincial of the Australian province, Ted Keating, the provincial of USA province and John Murphy the provincial bursar of the New Zealand province.
