Mrs Bev McDonald, of Auckland, has been employed as the new Coordinator of Marist Third Order and Marian Mothers in New Zealand.

Bev takes on this role with the resignation of Fr Pat Devlin, who volunteered to go back to the Philillpines Mission District, this time working in Ranong Thailand.
Bev McDonald is a wife and grandmother with a theology degree from Auckland University.
She ministers as a Spiritual Director (ACSD), along with many other roles in parish, diocese and community.
Bev became a Lay Marist in the early 1990’s inspired by the call to be like Mary and live discipleship to Christ imbued with her spirit. Having been drawn back into the church as an adult she has always had an interest in evangelization and the critical role of Laity in the church which is highlighted even more now with the call to a new evangelization.
She has been on pilgrimage to the Marist cradle places in and around Lyon plus a number of other Marian pilgrimage sites. She has been deeply impacted by the faithful reception of Vatican II through the teaching of Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI and views her life as a creative adventure with God.
Bev will be assisted by Mrs Jane Langham and report to David Kennerley who is the overall Coordinator of Marist Laity.
