New Zealand and Australia working together

As a further step towards the two provinces working more closely together, the general chapter delegates from Australia (Paul Cooney, Gerard Hall and Peter McMurrich) and from New Zealand (Brian Cummings, Tim Duckworth, Pat Devlin and Thige O’Leary) met for a day in Sydney this week.

The meeting was very informal but provided an opportunity for each province to share what issues had been forwarded to the Pre-Capitular Committee from their Chapters and the background to them. Primarily, the gathering enabled the delegates to focus on the chapter for an extended period without the pressures of other work and demands and proved to be a valuable time of sharing and reflection.
