The more alert amongst you may have noticed that I haven‟t referred to films for some months.
That may be a relief for some – but actually it‟s been simply a reflection that I didn‟t get to see any movies for quite an extended period towards the end of last year.

Rere mai, rere atu, the River flows
One of the best moments I experienced over summer was stopping alongside the Atiwhakatu River near Mt Holdsworth, in from Masterton. It was evening and I found a log near the side of the river. There were bush and ferns around me and slowly I noticed birds catching insects and heard them singing. One – In March 2003, an article in the Eastern Courier, a local newspaper reported that A secondary school, catering for up to 1000 students, is being built for Howick and Pakuranga’s Catholic community.
