General Chapter: First Decisions
During the first day of the Chapter, the proposed Ordo Capituli was discussed, amended and accepted. Fr Jan Hulshof was elected President of the Chapter and John Hannan, Rene Iturbe and Lote Raiwalui were elected as members of the Steering Committee. General Chapter: Formally begins

After four days of preparation, the General Chapter has begun. It opened with a Mass of the Holy Spirit, led by the Superior General. Mass was not until 9pm at night, the hope perhaps being that it would have cooled down by then, however the temperature remained over 30 degrees.
Bob Barber continues as Australia’s Vicar Provincial
Following the re-election of Australian Provincial, Paul Cooney, and after disucssion with Bob Barber, Paul wrote to the Australian province, happy to announce that Bob will continue as the Vicar for the next three years.
General Chapter: 44 submissions received
Forty-four submissions were received from provincial and district chapters, these included 16 formal postulata to the General Chapter.
