It’s taken two strong earthquakes to move the Marist Fathers from St Mary’s Manchester St, Christchurch, but as of February 2012, the Cathedral and St Mary’s parishes will be one, and staffed by a diocesan priest. Read more

Marist parish house destroyed by earthquake

Brian Cummings, the New Zealand Provincial of the Society of Mary has reported that all Marists in Christchurch, and as far as he has been able to ascertain all families of Marists Christchurch are physically safe, although some families have suffered serious damage to their homes. He asks for continued prayers for all in Christchurch. Read more
