Training for South Pacific Marist Leaders

The Majors of Superiors of the South Pacific meet each year in Suva for their annual conference and a three day workshop. This year, from August 3 – 6, the theme for the workshop was Training for Leadership Skills

Provincials were permitted to be accompanied by members who were in a leadership role in their respective congregations. Milio Vakasirovoka (Provincial Councillor), Francois Grossin (Regional Superior of New Caledonia), and Soane Patita Hautaufa’ao (Regional Superior of Wallis and Futuna) attended with their Provincial Paul Donoghue. Paul has just completed 4 years as President of the Conference.

Two other Marists also attended: Bishop Ghislain de Rasilly was the CEPAC bishops’ representative, and seminarian, Christian Abongbung, acted as a translator. 48 religious attended the workshop.
