Ben McKenna is the new Marist Fathers Oceania provincial

Fr Ben McKenna has been elected as the next Marist Fathers provincial of the Oceania Province.Marist Fathers Provincial of OceaniaOriginally from the province of Australia, has spent most of his priestly life as a missionary in the Pacific. In recent year he has been novice master at the Marist novitiate of Tutu.

He will take over from Fr Paul Donoghue who completed two terms as provincial on 31 December 2011.

The province of Oceania, which consists of Fiji, Bouganville, New Caledonia, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, was established in 1898, and grew to be one of the largest provinces of the Society.
