Superior General marks 70th birthday

On Tuesday, the Superior General of the Society of Mary, Fr John Hannan celebrated his 70th birthday and golden jubilee of profession at the General House.

Celebrating “the double” with him this year are New Zealander Marist Fathers, Frs Justin Taylor and Craig Larkin, who are currently working in Rome.

Secretary General, Fr Tony Corcoran, also marked his 7oth birthday this year.

The community celebrated the occasions with mass of thanksgiving followed by a festive lunch.

Also joining them were members of the general house staff and  superiors general of the Marist brothers and the Marist sisters.
